About the Japan Society of East Asian Studies
Established in 1990, The Japan Society of East Asian Studies (JSEAS) has been the leading research group in Kyushu and Yamaguchi area to promote friendly cooperation among the nations in the East-Asian region. Conducted with the active members of JSEAS, which include prominent researchers, distinguished business people, journalists from the various domain, and conscious individuals from Kyushu and Yamaguchi area, its annual conference is the primary mission of JSEAS. The small study group workshops and various meetings with oversea researchers are also the leading activities of the JSEAS. Additionally, the JSEAS had proudly established the prize called Tokushima Prize, which has been giving a tremendous research incentive for the young researchers.
